There are many metals that jewelry is made out of, gold being the most popular. But in recent years titanium jewelry has been rising in popularity. This is because technology has made this hard metal easier to work with. It has a brilliant shine on it and is very resistant to corrosion, so it is becoming more common on the market every year. Pewter jewelry is another kind that is rising in popularity again after a long lapse.

Gemstone jewelry is ever popular, and always has been. Gems and precious stones have always been signs of status, and highly sought after. One popular type is Turquoise jewelry. Some of the pieces are very fine and expensive, but a lot of turquoise jewelry is very reasonably priced, so a lot of people can enjoy having it. Another type is jade jewelry. This is generally more expensive as nice jade is harder to get a hold of, unlike wholesale jewelry.
Ethnic jewelry is a rather vague category, as it was coined by the western world. It can cover a lot of things, such as Native American jewelry and Celtic jewelry.

There is also a lot of trendy jewelry on the market. This is jewelry that is made popular by one thing or another, stays that way for awhile, and then fades. A lot of times trendy jewelry will make resurgences every few years. Pink jewelry is an example of trendy fashion jewelry.

Bronze jewelry has been around for ages, but has recently seen a modern resurgence.
