Pink jewelry provides many different accessorizing opportunities. This color has a lot of strong associations which can be utilized in a myriad of ways. Of course, these all simply apply in addition to the use of pink to accentuate any other colors being worn.

For many people, pink jewelry contributes to a feminine feel. This gendered reading of the color is very interesting because it has only been around since the 1940s. For twenty years before that, it was associated with boys. Before that, it wasn't related to either gender in the Western world.

Pink jewelry may also be worn in support of breast cancer awareness. This is especially true in October. This is because that month has been labeled Breast Cancer Awareness Month since 1985.
